STUART, FL, UNITED STATES, August 27, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The iRemedy Healthcare Companies, Inc. ("iRemedy"), a technology-enabled healthcare supply-chain company, today announced that General Gustave F. Perna, U.S. Army (Ret.), has joined iRemedy's Strategic Advisory Board.

General Perna brings 38 years of military logistics and supply chain leadership, including his service as Chief Operating Officer of Operation Warp Speed, the U.S. government's effort to develop, produce, and distribute COVID-19 vaccines and therapeutics.

A Career in Logistics at National Scale
General Perna was commissioned as an infantry officer in 1981 following Valley Forge Military Academy and College, and served 38 years in the U.S. Army, retiring in 2021. He commanded U.S. Army Materiel Command from 2016 to 2020, overseeing logistics and materiel readiness for more than 190,000 soldiers, civilians, and contractors, and served as the Army's Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4, with oversight of logistics policy worldwide.

He also commanded the Joint Munitions Command and Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, and led combat logistics operations in Iraq. From 2020 to 2021 he served as Chief Operating Officer of Operation Warp Speed, the U.S. government's effort to develop, produce, and distribute COVID-19 vaccines and therapeutics. He currently serves as Executive Vice President and Strategic Customer Officer at SAP NS2, as Founder and CEO of Perna Consulting, and as a director on the boards of Blue Yonder Defense Solutions, Allison Transmission, MD Helicopters, 280 Earth, Paradigm Health, Corvias, and Almonty Industries. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Valley Forge Military College, his alma mater.

General Perna holds a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Maryland and a master's degree in logistics management from the Florida Institute of Technology.
